Raising a child with special needs

Bella our youngest daughter suffers form a rare genetic disorder, simply called 15q24.  It's a micro-deletion on chromosome 15 and causes an array of developmental issues.  After much testing Bella was diagnosed when she was around 16 months old.  As strange as it sounds, my wife and I were thrilled to find out the diagnosis.  We knew that "something" wasn't right with Bella, but no one was able to give us answers until the genetic testing was done.

Bella is now 2 1/2 years old and is developing slowly but surely.  She started walking right about her second birthday and after those first steps her language skills took off.  Bella continues to amaze us everyday and her big sister who is 6 is probably the best big sister in the World!
